Victoria BrennerArtist Biography
I believe there is a new cosmology emerging on the West Coast. Through diffusion and cross-cultural exchange between the East and West, we are building a deeper sense of connection and understanding in accord with the natural world and global community. We are myth-makers, visionary practitioners, mystic sound, and holistic healers. Through the recognition of the divine within, we present our variant works and creations with bodhisattva-like intentions of aiding spiritual awakening and eliciting a strong sense of positive social and environmental responsibility. My work is inspired through my experiences, knowledge, and amazing love which emanates from the compassion of my soul toward the expanse of humanity. My source of inspiration is hermeneutic process by which I draw upon ancient work and the contemporary avant-garde. I strive to combine technical proficiency with visionary imagination. My art bridges the material and spiritual realms through the essential integration of art and society. Intrigued by the notion of the artist as shaman or bodhisattva, my body of work develops personal and collective higher consciousness and healing. In an effort to restore this lost harmonic equilibrium, I weave qualities of festival cultures that are embedded in spirituality together with new possibilities and visions of our relationship with the universe. Here is a selection of original paintings and giclee prints available from The Gallery in Mt. Shasta:
